We provide a 12-month workmanship warranty on the installation of new components. Product warranties are covered separately by the manufacturer. For repairs and maintenance, we also offer a 12-month warranty on workmanship, but this does not cover general maintenance after the job is complete.

Our warranty does not cover:

• General system maintenance or sprinkler cleaning

• Adjustments to watering schedules

• New leaks or additional system faults after service

• Damage from misuse, neglect, vandalism, theft, or natural events

• Issues caused by not following manufacturer instructions

No — our quote is an estimate based on the visible condition at the time of assessment. Unforeseen issues like underground damage or hidden leaks may affect the final cost. Any significant changes to the original scope of work will be discussed with you first.

We’ll notify you immediately. You can:

• Approve the extra repairs and pay for the additional work

• Decline them — but this may mean we can’t complete the original job, and we’ll still invoice for the work completed up to that point

Yes, but it must be mutually agreed upon and may require a revised quote. We reserve the right to decline additional work that wasn't originally scoped or that presents safety or technical risks.

Sometimes, for specialised work like electrical tasks. While we carefully select and supervise them, Retic Smart does not warranty subcontractor work. Any issues with their services should be addressed with them directly.

After installation or servicing, reprogramming the controller becomes the responsibility of the resident. We offer an optional reprogramming service for an additional fee and can provide guidance as needed.

Yes, we can assist with connecting your controller to a single smart device during installation. However, full integration with systems like Google Home, Alexa, or Apple HomeKit is the customer's responsibility.

If an item is faulty, contact us immediately. We’ll arrange a replacement or refund in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty.

No. We do not accept returns for change of mind after installation. However, this does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

We adhere to the current water restrictions set by Water Corporation and Aqwest to ensure responsible water use. While we are not liable for any damage caused by limited watering, we can help you optimize your schedule within the rules. Additionally, you can hand-water plants that need extra care.

Yes. It’s your responsibility to use the system as intended. Retic Smart is not liable for damage caused by incorrect programming or misuse, unless it was due to our negligence or misconduct.

If damage is caused by incorrect use or reprogramming after our service, Retic Smart is not responsible. We are only liable in cases where damage results directly from our own error or negligence.
